At the Long Island Parrot Expo in Oct 2006, a customer (Carmen) came to our booth and told us about a PlayStand she had for her Yellow Nape Amazon Parrot (Praising). She explained how Praising had chewed it up. She wanted to know if we could replace/restore the chewed parts while maintaing the antique look, and utilizing the stand she had. Scott said he would take a look at it, and Carmen said she would bring it to our shop.

About a week later Carmen brought her PlayStand to our Shop in Huntington Station, NY. She also brought a piece of formica that she wanted us to use for the bottom and a piece of manzanita wood she wanted to use for the perch. Only thing was, we had to stay within a maximum size because the Stand had to fit in a certain place in her home.

Scott got to work to restore the playstand while coming up with an idea to make it almost chew proof, and of course to make it look good!
